Every year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving has been deemed “Small Business Saturday.” It’s a great event to get everyone out and shop local. COVID has taken its toll on all of us in 2020, but our small businesses have been hit especially hard.
Also, this year due to COVID-19, Melrose’s traditional Home for the Holidays weekend will not take place. This includes the annual City Hall tree lighting with the arrival of Santa on a fire truck and trolley rides throughout Melrose. Our small businesses really depend on these events to help drive patrons into their businesses and give them the holiday boost that’s needed to start off the season.
KPT usually sponsors this great event, but this year, we are showing our support a little differently. Small businesses in Melrose need our help and support now more than ever! Therefore, this year, please join us in supporting the Melrose Chamber’s “Shop, eat and gift local” initiative. Why not keep the support the entire holiday season long?
